Chicago Deep Dish Pizza – A Hearty, Homemade Classic
Chicago Deep Dish pizza is known for its surprisingly thin biscuit-like crust, generous cheese, and a pie-like appearance. In fact ours comes in a traditional pie pan 5 cm deep, 23 cm in diameter and weighs over one kilogram. While this is substantial and intended for two or more people, this is considered a small pizza in the “City of Big Shoulders.”
Fresh, Unbaked Dough – Worth the Wait
This is not fast food. Unlike factory-made par-baked crusts, our dough is unbaked. You’ll notice the difference in the aroma as it bakes. Because it’s made fresh, it takes longer to cook—about 85 minutes from frozen. But good things do take time. Don’t rush it, savor the mys!
Cheese on the Bottom – A Smart Trick
We layer the cheese directly on the unbaked dough. Why? The longer baking time means the cheese could burn if placed on top. By putting it underneath, we protect it while also creating a barrier that keeps the crust crispy—not soggy.
Toppings? In the Middle. Sauce? On Top.
The toppings go right in the center, and the rich, thick tomato sauce is spread on top. This helps shield everything below from burning.
A sense of security and confidence? Yes, it’s included!
A unique feature of our pizza is that we include a pop-up timer in the middle of the pizza. See the image below. After about 85 minutes, check to see if the timer has popped up. It’s your signal that dinner is ready.
No Preservatives – Just Real Food
We add no artificial flavors or preservatives. This is clean, honest food—the kind I’m happy to serve my own child. Because of that, it won’t last for years in the freezer or weeks in the refrigerator like mass-produced pizzas. And please, check out our ingredients. We are very proud of them.
